Water

The flooding in these parts is getting increasingly worse. Talked to my dad this morning and he said they were evacuating the hospital in Cedar Falls. The river is up 30 inches and continues to rise. My dad is traveling to Illinois today for my cousin Luke's wedding, but my mom will be staying home in Cedar Falls due to work. It is difficult to know whether it is good or bad that someone will be around to pay attention to what's happening.

Water. We do not respect it enough. We depend on it for life. And yet it also is capable of unbelievable destruction.
